Have you ever wondered, "Is it me, or is it the kart?" Our Parity Score uses a robust statistical approach to answer that question by removing the two biggest variables in rental karting: changing track conditions and driver skill gaps.
We never look at raw lap times, because a fast kart on a cold, slippery track will always be slower than a bad kart on a grippy, rubbered-in track. Instead, we calculate a Performance Delta for every single session. We compare a kart’s lap time against the median pace of the entire fleet in that specific session. This allows us to compare a kart's performance from a rainy Tuesday against a sunny Saturday fairly.
In rental karting, driver skill varies wildly. A first-time driver in a "rocket" kart would typically make that kart look terrible if we simply averaged the data. To solve this, we use a method called Median Aggregation. By taking the median of all performance deltas, we mathematically filter out the extreme outliers—ignoring the data from drivers who were significantly off the pace—to reveal the true mechanical potential of the kart.
The score represents a percentage difference from the fleet average.
Note: We only display scores for karts that have completed enough sessions to ensure the data is statistically significant.
